The Toverlux Frame turns a window into the light source. As daylight changes, the artwork changes with it — bright in the morning, soft in the afternoon, and easy to swap whenever you want a different scene.

Materials & Craftsmanship

The Toverlux Frame is handcrafted in the Netherlands from FSC-certified birch wood with a light natural finish that lets the grain show through. Designed as a no-power companion to the lamp, it uses daylight rather than an LED to illuminate the silhouette.

Care & Safety

For indoor use only. Keep away from water. Not a toy — adult supervision required for children under 14. Natural variation in wood grain and color is normal; gradual color change over time is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.

How It Works

Slide any standard Toverlux silhouette into the slot on the frame. Mount the frame on a window using the included suction cup, or add the optional wooden base for freestanding display. Natural light passing through the silhouette brings the artwork to life without a power source.

Toverlux

Toverlux is a Dutch maker of handcrafted children's lamps, designed to cast a soft, warm glow. Made from natural materials with simplicity and longevity in mind.

Why Shop at Blue Otter Toys?

We do the filtering so you don't have to.

Blue Otter Toys carries a deliberately small selection of toys and children's goods chosen for craftsmanship, natural materials, and meaningful play. Many of the brands we carry come from small workshops in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and beyond — where toys are still made by hand from wood, wool, and cotton.

We believe children are drawn to beautiful, well-made objects that invite creativity, imagination, and discovery. We understand open-ended play, child development, and what genuinely engages children at different stages. Every product here passed that filter before it made it onto the site.
