Refund policy
Returns
We accept returns within the first 30 days. After the first 30 days you may return for exchange or credit, up to 60 days. Some items, like the Amboss ride on toys, and the Choroi flute are not eligible for return (such items state this on their product page).
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. (We typically will have your order in our system, which we can look up with your name or order number)
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, such as books with obvious signs of use, any item not in its original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, or any item that is returned after 30 days from delivery.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale & Clearance items (if applicable)
Sale items will be refunded at the sale price. Unfortunately, "clearance" items cannot be returned.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We offer exchanges up to 60 days. Please contact us at info@blueottertoys.com or at 805-576-8837 to arrange for an exchange. You will need to pay for the product to be returned to us, and we will typically cover the cost of sending the replacement item out to you.
Gifts
Returning a gift? No problem! We're happy to provide store credit or help you exchange for something you'll love. If you need a refund to the original payment method instead, just let us know and we'll coordinate with the original purchaser.
Shipping
You are responsible for the returning your item. Shipping and insurance costs are non-refundable.
You may want to consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, particularly for higher valued items. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Holiday Purchases
Items purchased between November 15th to December 31st can be returned for a full refund up until January 31st. Exchanges are available through February 28th.
EU Customers — Right of Withdrawal If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at info@blueottertoys.com before the 14-day period expires.
Items must be returned in unused, original condition and packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
Note: The right of withdrawal does not apply to items that are clearly personalized or sealed for hygiene reasons once opened.
