Frequently Asked Questions

Will Honeysticks crayons break easily?

Beeswax crayons are much harder to snap than standard paraffin crayons. The originals especially are close to impossible to break.

Are Honeysticks crayons safe if a child puts them in their mouth?

The beeswax and food-grade pigments are non-toxic, but the crayons aren't intended to be eaten. They're safe in the sense that a taste won't cause harm.

What's the difference between the Original, Jumbo, and Super Jumbo sizes?

Originals (2 x 3/4") are stubby crayons for toddlers just learning to grip. Jumbos (4 x 1/2") are longer and thinner, suited for children developing a pencil hold. Super Jumbos (4 x 3/4") are the same length but thicker โ€” good for children who need a bigger grip.

What are Honeysticks crayons made from?

100% New Zealand beeswax, colored with non-toxic food-grade pigments. No paraffin wax, petroleum-based waxes, or fillers.
