Handcrafted Ghanaian Bolga Basket

Artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana weave this beautiful, durable Bolga basket from colorfully dyed elephant grass. Bolga baskets stand up to use and abuse and remain functional and beautiful for years. This small-size basket is great for kids, especially beloved as an Easter basket. Sold singly with assorted colors, patterns, and leather handles. Because this is a handcrafted item, each will vary slightly.

Please note: Multiple designs available, picked at random.

  • To Shape/Reshape: Spray with cool water, focusing on creased areas. Let water absorb for a few minutes, then press grass into shape. Air dry on a protective surface. Repeat when needed.
