Some of the best first shoes barely feel like shoes at all. Starry Knight's soft leather shoes flex easily with little feet, while the suede sole lets new walkers feel the floor beneath them and adds traction on smooth indoor surfaces. An elasticized ankle keeps them comfortably in place without laces, buckles, or fuss. Each pair is handmade in Corvallis, Montana by Melanie Knight and a small local team who have been making shoes for little feet since 2008. These shoes ship directly from the maker, separately from the rest of your order, and are final sale - so please measure before choosing a size.

Made from high-quality leather with a soft suede sole. Each pair is individually made in Starry Knight's Corvallis, Montana studio. Please allow approximately 1-2 weeks for production.

Care & Safety

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry. Natural leather will soften and develop character with wear, and some change in color over time is normal.

How It Works

For the best fit, measure your child's foot from heel to longest toe while standing on a hard, flat surface. Add approximately 3/8" for growing room, then choose the corresponding sole length. Age ranges are only a guide - measuring the foot is the most reliable way to select a size.

Starry Knight Design has been making soft-soled leather shoes in Corvallis, Montana since 2008. Melanie Knight began the business at home and still designs every style; each pair is cut and sewn to order by a small local team. Leather and suede, elastic-sewn backs, sizes from newborn through about six years.
