Care Instructions for Efie Stuffed Animals
If your wool filled stuffed animal gets dirty, you can first remove the coarse dirt with a brush. Since Efie only uses the best quality natural fibers (no polyester), heavy washing is usually not necessary. The pure sheep's wool filling is a natural fiber that can shrink, mat, or clump if exposed to hot water, harsh detergent, or strong spinning.
Light Cleaning:
- Brush off coarse dirt gently.
Washing (if necessary):
- Hand wash only
- Use lukewarm water (comfortable to touch)
- Use mild or wool-specific detergent
- Avoid hot water, harsh detergents, and spinning
Washing Process:
- Soak in clear water first
- Add detergent and gently move the toy in the water
- Do not rub, brush, spin, or wring
Drying:
- Squeeze out excess water gently
- Lay flat on an absorbent towel
- Reshape and move occasionally while drying
- Wet wool smell will disappear after drying
