Enjoy the embossed oak bough with acorn filigree unique to the German block set. These stylized details surround the two capital letters on opposing sides of each block. About Uncle Goose: What began as a startling discovery led to an enduring family legacy. When William Bultman discovered in 1983 that wooden alphabet blocks had seemingly vanished from American toy manufacturing, he took matters into his own hands. Rather than accept this void in traditional toys, he established Uncle Goose in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he began crafting wooden alphabet blocks using time-honored methods. The company remains in the family today, with William's son Pete carrying forward his father's vision.
